Main Hall
Main Hall was constructed in 1910, and was the first building to be built at the school's current site. The brick building is five stories and has four, three story columns on the front. Main Hall houses Averett Central, administrative offices, a computer lab, faculty offices, residence halls for women (single rooms) and student laundry facilities.

Davenport Hall, which is named in honor of former Averett Trustee Charles L. Davenport, houses three residence hall floors, a central lounge area, a small multimedia auditorium, residence life offices and a painting studio for the art department. Davenport Hall is directly behind Main Hall on the south end of campus.

Danville Hall, which was named in honor of the city's citizens, houses residence halls, classrooms and offices for student publications.

Bishop Hall
Bishop Hall is named in honor of the University's ninth president, Curtis V. Bishop. It contains and air-conditioned residence hall, classrooms and meeting rooms. It is joined to Davenport Hall, Danville Hall and the Carrington Gym. Bishop Hall is a four story brick building directly behind Danville Hall on the south side of campus.

Student Success Center
The Galesi Family Student Success Center is located on the lower level of Bishop Hall. IIt is designed to bring all the services for student success into one location. The Student Success Center includes the writing center; the Col. S. Stone Gregory Jr. Career Services Center; the Galesi Family Academic Resource Center; the Carrington Computer Lab and Mathematics Lab; the office of student success; the honors office; study rooms; quiet space; and small meeting rooms. The Student Success Center is located directly beside Bishop Hall facing east.

Frith Fine Arts / Carrington Recreation Center
The Violet T. Frith Fine Arts Center is the home of the theatre department and also hosts the Arts@Averett Series events. Located below the Fine Arts Center is the Carrington Recreation Center which is used for classes, intramural sports and open recreation. The old gym located under Pritchett Auditorium was closed in January 2015 because it had fallen into a state of disrepair. Fortunately, university administration did not see the gym as a lost cause and began raising funds to renovate the space. Renovations, which were all funded by donors at a total cost of $200,000, began the summer of 2015. Now known as Carrington Gym, it was reopened to students on Founders’ Day, Jan. 21, 2016. The Violet T. Frith Fine Arts Center is a brick building with columns on the front. It is located on the west side of campus.

Frith Hall
Frith Hall, named in honor of former Trustee J. Burness Frith's mother Ada Nunn Frith, is where students spend the majority of their class time. The University's classroom of the future is on the fourth floor. Many faculty members have their offices in Frith Hall. The David S. Blount Chapel, where special services and events are held, is located on the second floor off of Jordan Common. Frith Hall is a brick building located north of Frith Fine Arts. It is on the west side of campus.

Conway House
The Conway House, which is named in memory of Helen Conway, who donated the house to the University, is the site of special campus events. It also serves as lodging for University guests throughout the year. The Conway House is a two story home on the west side of campus, directly across the street (Mountain View Avenue) from Frith Hall.

Alumni Hall
Alumni Hall was the president's home from 1930-1983. Now it serves as offices for Institutional Advancement, which includes alumni relations, development and marketing and communications. The entry hall is monitored by the 1920's Grandfather Clock which was the namesake of the University's yearbook, The Pendulum, for 70 years. Alumni Hall is a two story brick building located beside Frith Hall and Grousbeck Music Center.

Grousbeck Music Center
The Grousbeck Music Center, named in honor of Danville native Emily Swain Grousbeck, contains practice rooms, a music library, media center, classrooms, a recital hall and office for faculty in the music department. The Grousbeck Music Center is located between Alumni Hall and Common Apartments on the northwest side of campus.

Averett Commons Apartments provide housing for 140 upperclassmen. Each apartment has four bedrooms, a furnished central living area, a full-service kitchen, a washer/dryer and two bathrooms. Averett Commons Apartments consist of 3, 3 story brick buildings, closely connected. Averett Commons Apartments are located on the north west side of campus directly beside Grousbeck Music Center.

Tennis Court
The Tennis Courts, located on Surry Lane, host matches for the men's and women's tennis teams as well as classes. Danville community members also have access to the tennis courts when they are not in use by the University. The Tennis Courts are located on the northwest side of campus across the street from the parking lot for the Common Apartments. There are 6 tennis courts in the complex.

The Center For Community Engagement & Career Competitiveness
The Center for Community Engagement & Career Competitiveness (CCECC) connects students, faculty, and staff from Averett University, Danville Community College, and Piedmont Community College to community partners in the Dan River Region to foster a mutually-beneficial relationship. The CCECC also houses Career Development for Averett University students. The CCECC is a 2 story house on the north side of campus directly across the street from the Student Center.

Jordan Commons
Jordan Common, named in memory of former Trustee Robert S. Jordan, is an open space located on the center of campus, outside of Frith Hall. Classes are often held here on warm days. It is also a place where students gather to study and talk.

Student Center Plaza
The Student Center Plaza hosts outdoor concerts and student events. This open space consists of Wyatt Terrace; the Irving M. Groves, Jr. and Clyde Hooker, Jr. Patio; the Maddux Promenade; and the Lamar Owens Lawn. The Student Center Plaza is brick and concrete patio area directly in from on the entrance to The Student Center.

The 35,000-square-foot Student Center is a hub of student life on campus. Students pass through the four-story building daily, as it is home to the dining hall; Jut’s Café; the Daly Game Room; the Barkhouser Computer Lab; the Student Organizations Center; the Dean of Students and Student Life offices – including the campus Chaplain’s office. The Student Center is located on the north side of campus beside Fugate Hall.

Fugate Hall, named in recognition of former Dean of the College Mary Catharine Fugate, is a residence facility with 15 suites. Each suite contains a central living area, storage, a large bathroom and five bedrooms. This building is air conditioned and hosts a computer lab. Fugate Hall sits at the center of campus. It is a 3 story brick building with a two story wing to the right and a three story wing to the left of the main building.

Schoolfield House Booksellers
The Schoolfield House Booksellers, named in recognition of a prominent local family, is located in a former residence on West Main Street. The bookstore was opened in its current location in the fall of 2010 and it has become a popular spot on campus and in the community. The Schoolfield House Booksellers is a 2 story building with a large front porch.

The Fine Arts Building houses art classes and Art Department faculty offices. The Fine Arts Building is a 2 story house on the southeast side of campus located between the library and the Schoolfield House Booksellers.

Schoolfield House Courtyard
The Courtyard offers an ideal place for students to gather and socialize or study. It also hosts campus special events. The courtyard is a brick and concrete patio with a gazebo. It is located on the south side of campus directly behind the Schoolfield House Bookstore.

Mary B. Blount Library
Named in honor of Trustee Mary B. Blount, the library offers computers and creative space for individuals and groups. At Blount library and discover.averett.edu students find books, journals, media and databases for assignments and independent research. Students borrow books from other libraries and receive articles on their computers and mobile devices. Blount Library houses the University Archives and papers of U.S. Representative Dan Daniel and Virginia State Senator Charles R. Hawkins. The Mary B Blount Library is a large 2 story building on the southeast side of campus. It is located between the Fine Arts Building and WC English Hall.

Located in the heart of campus, the Carriage House holds classes for sculpture and ceramics. It is also believe to be the oldest building on campus. The Carriage House is a small house located on the east side of campus directly behind the Mary B Blount Library.

W.C. English Hall
W.C. English Hall, named in honor of former Trustee W.C. English, is a former private residence that now contains offices for admissions. WC English Hall is located on the far southeastern side of campus. It is a 2 story, cedar shingle home located directly beside the Mary B Blount Library.

Averett Central
Averett Central is a "one-stop-shop" providing superior student interaction and services, a centrally located place where students can go to accomplish the "business" of being an Averett student. Here, students are able to request, receive and retrieve the wealth of student information the need on topics such as class registration, student accounts, financial aid assistance, student I.D.s, parking permits and more. Averett Central is attached to Main Hall.

The President's House hosts various campus events for students, faculty and staff throughout the year and serves as the home of the University's president, Dr. Tiffany M. Franks. The President's House is located on the far northwestern side of campus. It is a 2 story house with a large front porch with columns.
